For most of us making music in out own home and project studios, virtual instruments can be a big part of the recording and production process. However, if the piano keyboard is not your primary instrument, creating polished MIDI performances for those virtual instruments can be a challenge that often ends in frustration.
Fortunately, Cubase offers a range of features to support you in this task. Probably the post important of these is the Chord Pad system which you can access via the Lower Zone of the Project window. So, if piano keys are not your happy place, and you want to find out more about what the Chord Pads can do to help, then check out the video below for a quick introduction…. Hopefully, it will help you create better MIDI performances for you own musical projects using Cubase’s excellent Chord Pad options….
If you find this kind of material useful for your own Cubase journey then the Chord Pads system is just one of the many topics covered in the my Cubase Essentials course.
Designed from the ground up for those new to Cubase, or new to DAWs/personal recording in general, the course will take you from initially installing Cubase through to confidently exporting your first mix. You can check out all the details – and watch the preview videos – over on the Cubase Essentials Udemy homepage.
