OK, so the world is no longer short of distortion or saturation plugins…. but development team UB DSP are convinced there is room for one more with their very first release; Grit Blender. Quirky ‘blender’ graphics aside, this is actually a very capable – and very flexible – distortion/saturation tool. It also manages to be both fairly easy to use while still letting you go deep….
The key element is the ability to blend – and modulate between – different distortion/saturation types. You get options for blending 3, 6 or all 12 of the various different modes/algorithms…. and, as all these modes have something rather good to offer, there is plenty of creative potential.
