As a long-standing Cubase user, I’ve made use a many of Steinberg’s virtual instruments over the years. While some of these are provided within the Cubase bundle, Steinberg also offer an instrument ‘bundle’ – the Absolute Collection – and as these are all VST, AU and AAX-friendly, you can actually use them in any DAW.
The highlights of the bundle are Halion, Groove Agent, Retrologue and Padshop, but there are other instruments included also and an collection of sound expansions for each title.
