Cubase has been my DAW of choice on the desktop for more years than I can recall…. but I’m also a big fan of the mobile version of the software; Cubasis. To their credit, Steinberg saw the potential on mobile platforms (and particularly iOS) pretty early in the game. As a result, Cubasis is now a very mature app with a seriously good feature set. In short, if you have an iPad and want to make multitrack recordings – audio and MIDI (virtual instruments) it is possible to get very good results with little by way of compromise compared to a desktop-based sustem.
Steinberg have now released the v.3.8 update and it brings some further useful options to the software and a couple of new virtual instrument options. If you want to find out more, then check out the Cubasis review in SOS….
