I have to say that reviewing the Softube Flow Studio hardware a few months back was an absolute highlight of my 2026 music tech year to date. However, Softtube don’t hang about and their most recent new product in their hardware range is the Console 1 Compact. As the name suggests, it is a compact take on their hugely popular Console 1 hardware, giving users the same degree of detailed hand-on control of their mixing process but in a more compact format and with a more compact price.
In short, it’s a fantastic bit of kit…. and the included Core Mixing Suite plugin provides a very powerful channel strip environment that could easily handle the bulk of your routine mixing work.
