Those of you with a long memory might recall the Music App Blog website I ran for a few years and that focussed on music tech centered around iOS devices. I’m still a fan of that technology but, over recent years, that’s been more as part of my overall integrated ‘desktop+mobile’ music production workflow….
One of my favourite iOS music apps – and one that back in the day I’d have argued was reason enough to buy an iPad – is Patterning. This is a brilliant take on the concept of a virtual drum machine, with a beautiful UI and a very powerful feature set. Ben Kamen for Olympia Noise Co has kept up a steady flow of new developments and, while v.3 dropped a good while ago, v.3.2 particularly caught my eye…. 🙂
