While they might be an unfamiliar name to some, Westwood do make some interesting virtual instruments. Lost Synth ticks that box in that, while it is a Kontakt-based instrument – and therefore includes an underlying sample set that forms the core of the sounds – it also offers some rather good synthesis elements to the UI that make it a part-synth/part-sample instrument.
And, if you like your synth sounds to be atmospheric, quirky, textural and possible with an added rhythmic element, the Lost Synth might be right up your street. Read the SOS review here…..
