If you want the ultimate level of control over your virtual drums, Toontrack’s Superior Drummer 3 is a heck of an option. Yes, it’s big and, yes, there is something of a learning curve if you really want to get the most out of it, but it can sound fantastic. The included library of sounds cover a lot of ground but, just as with EZ Drummer, Toontrack have a great selection of genre-specific expansions if you need more options. And, if jazz is your thing, then the Jazz Sessions SDX will be right up your street…..
