While most top-tier DAW/sequencers now let you carry out a wide array of audio editing tasks, there is still something to be said for having access to a dedicated audio editing application. There are a few options on this front but one of the most widely respected, and well-featured, is Steinberg’s Wavelab.
I use Wavelab’s Audio Montage feature on a regular basis and it’s great for a project featuring multiple tracks/songs that need to be mastered as a coherent body of audio. It’s also great to rendering audio out in multiple formats to meet the different needs of clients…..
Anyway, if you want to get a flavour of what Wavelab has to offer, and to see the highlight additions introduced in the latest release, then check out the SOS review here….
