If you are a fan of mobile music making – and perhaps have a long memory – then you might recall I used to run a blog dedicated to (mainly) iOS as a music production platform. I’m still a regular user of that technology although, these days, it’s done by integrating tools on my iPad with my desktop system.
However, I do regularly start ideas on Steinberg’s Cubasis which I then port over to Cubase on my desktop, so it’s always great when Steinberg deliver new features to my favourite iOS DAW. Anyway, Cubasis 3.7 adds some cool new stuff…. and, at the same time, Steinberg have introduced a mobile version of their excellent Iconica Sketch. This is a brilliant library for ‘sketching’ full orchestral arrangements and, while it is certainly compact, it is also very capable. Anyway, it’s brilliant stuff….. Check out the full review here….
