Sonible pure:unmask

Sonible make some very interesting plugins. Some of these – the Smart series in particular – can get pretty deep if you are prepared to take the dive. Others, however, let you occupy shallower waters and the ‘pure’ series are very accessible to users of any experience level. Each is designed to do a very specific task and then all lean into some AI/machine learning technology of some description.

With pure:unmask, that role is to make the task of gently stopping one audio source from competing for frequency space with another (perhaps more important) one. The obvious example is to get other instruments out of the way for a lead vocal, allowing it to sit comfortably within the mix and not get hidden. The price is undoubtedly right for the ‘pure’ series plugins so, if you need a little help with the unmasking process, check out the SOS pure:unmask review here to see if it might be of help…..
