Harrison MixBus DAW software

If you have a long history with a specific DAW application, attempting to work within a different DAW can be a very disorientating experience. Yes, in terms of the core functions of recording, arranging and mixing MIDI and audio content, all DAWs do essentially the same task….. but they can do it in very different ways. In some ways, Harrison’s MixBus is no different in that regard but, as one of its primary design considerations was to give you both the sound and workflow associated with a hardware console, in terms of the mixing stage at least, the underlying concepts have a very familiar feel.

Oh, and it does have a ‘sound’….. the EQ and compression elements built into that virtual mix console are really very good. If you have any familiarity with working in a conventional hardware studio environment, MixBus is as close as it gets translated to the ‘in the box’ world. Read the SOS MixBus 10 review here….
