OK, so vocoded vocals are something of an acquired taste…. and maybe not a sound you would build a whole album around…. but, if you work in electronic music styles, it’s undoubtedly a processing trick that provides the occasional bit of ear candy if not over done.
Steinberg returned a revamp of their long-standing Vocoder plugin to the stock plugin collection of Cubase in v.13. So, if you are a Pro or Artist user, and want to get a sense of what it is capable of, check out the SOS workshop article here…..
